Nosework Judge for the June Trial, Caroline Oldham, is offering a 2-hour Nosework Handler Mini Workshop for Elite Handlers.  This mini workshop will include the judge setting Elite searches and providing coaching.  Elite searches are complicated because the handler doesn’t know how many hides (can be 1-4) must call “finish” before the time ends, but is not given a 30-second warning.  Elite hides can be high, low in cracks, covered, and require dogs to have the stamina and motivation to continue to search.

Audit participants have the opportunity to learn best practices through observation of searches and coaching.  This workshop is geared toward handlers at the "Elite" level but is open to those planning to compete at that level in the future.
