 0 for 5 one-hour sessions.\nThis class introduces the dog and handler to b
 asic manners skills\, allowing dogs and handlers to gain confidence and ex
 perience working together.&nbsp\; This Manners class is for dogs who are p
 ast the puppy phase and ready for the ‘big kid’ stuff.&nbsp\; CKCOJ period
 ically offers a Puppy Class more appropriate for younger dogs.&nbsp\;\nThe
  class will address: loose-leash walking\, sit\, down\, stay\, and 'leave 
 it' commands.&nbsp\; We will concentrate on teaching our dogs to follow co
 mmands with greater distance and longer duration\, while staying focused a
 nd engaged.&nbsp\; The class includes learning basic obedience exercises s
 uch as heeling\, Sit for Exam\, and recall.&nbsp\; &nbsp\;\nAll exercises 
 are performed on a six-foot leash.&nbsp\; Handlers are permitted to talk t
 o\, praise\, and give extra commands to their dogs during and between exer
 cises.\nRequirements: 6-foot leash and plenty of 'high-value treats'.&nbsp
 \; Your dog's kibble may be expensive\, but it's not a high-value treat. A
 lso\, bring a small mat or pad\, or towel for your dog to sit on.&nbsp\; W
 ater and a dish are encouraged.&nbsp\; &nbsp\;&nbsp\;\nPrerequisites: This
  class is not appropriate for reactive dogs and those with excessive barki
 ng.&nbsp\; Safety for everyone is important\, as we will be working in clo
 se proximity to other dogs and handlers.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;\n5 one-hour session
