 Registration is open for members only through 9/6/26 - Open to the public 
 starting 9/7/26\n&nbsp\;\nOpen to the public for $125.00 for 5 one-hour se
 ssions.\nThis class introduces the dog and handler to basic manners skills
 \, allowing dogs and handlers to gain confidence and experience working to
 gether.&nbsp\; This Manners class is for dogs who are past the puppy phase
  and ready for the ‘big kid’ stuff.&nbsp\; CKCOJ periodically offers a Pup
 py Class more appropriate for younger dogs.&nbsp\;\nThe class will address
 : loose-leash walking\, sit\, down\, stay\, and 'leave it' commands.&nbsp\
 ; We will concentrate on teaching our dogs to follow commands with greater
  distance and longer duration\, while staying focused and engaged.&nbsp\; 
 The class includes learning basic obedience exercises such as heeling\, Si
 t for Exam\, and recall.&nbsp\; &nbsp\;\nAll exercises are performed on a 
 six-foot leash.&nbsp\; Handlers are permitted to talk to\, praise\, and gi
 ve extra commands to their dogs during and between exercises.\nRequirement
 s: 6-foot leash and plenty of 'high-value treats'.&nbsp\; Your dog's kibbl
 e may be expensive\, but it's not a high-value treat. Also\, bring a small
  mat or pad\, or towel for your dog to sit on.&nbsp\; Water and a dish are
  encouraged.&nbsp\; &nbsp\;&nbsp\;\nPrerequisites: This class is not appro
 priate for reactive dogs and those with excessive barking.&nbsp\; Safety f
 or everyone is important\, as we will be working in close proximity to oth
 er dogs and handlers.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;\n5 one-hour sessions from 6:00 PM to 7
