Mendenhall Valley Public Library Community Meeting Room - 3025 Diamond Park Loop, Juneau, AK 99801

Capital Kennel Club of Juneau will hold its annual meeting on Sunday, October 20 starting at 12:00 PM at the Valley Public Library Community Meeting Room. The meeting will conclude before 2 pm at the latest.

The annual membership meeting is a great time to visit with other club members.

You can bring a snack or finger food to share if you want to.

The meeting is still in the planning stages. The tentative events at the meeting include:

1) Awards. Each year CKCOJ recognizes those dogs owned by club members who have achieved recognition in performance and conformation events in any venue (including UKC, AKC, CKC, NADAC, ASCA, etc.) since October 1, 2018. Dogs achieving titles in UKC obedience and rally, AKC CGC, and NADAC receive pins recognizing their titles. Dogs receiving other titles from other organizations receive a certificate of recognition. The pins and certificates are awarded at the annual membership meeting in October. In order to receive a pin or certificate, the club member must complete a form listing the titles that their dog has received. Please complete the form as soon as possible, so that the appropriate pins and awards will be available at the annual meeting. You can update your information if your dog receives an additional title before October 1. We will be providing a registration form to complete for the awards.  The awards recognition form will also be sent out to all club members by email. Contact George Utermohle (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) if you do not receive a form by email. This is a great way to recognize and memorialize you and your dog’s hard work during the last year.

2) Annual club business meeting, voting on proposed bylaw and policy changes, and election of officers. The meeting will include the President’s annual Report and Review, a discussion of plans for the next year, treasurer’s year-end report, and the election of 3 persons to serve on the CKCOJ board.
